Our Place is a sacred place of peace. A sanctuary of love and spiritual dwelling in which Southwest Leather Conference participants can come to quietly share spiritual energy with another, meditate or participate in one of several spiritual activities throughout the event experience. It can be a break from the workshop excitement to contemplate. It might be a quiet hand in the evening to hold while processing new information or experiences. Maybe it is an interest in an Islamic prayer or a Reiki share that begs your heart to dwell. Perhaps it is a time of journey, prayer or opening of heart within a safe haven. If so, Our Place is your place. The door is always open.
Come place your palms in pure spring water, sift the sands of Sedona through your fingertips or fill your senses with sweet grass and white sage. Place your significant element on the altar amongst the many others to share for the weekend. Contribute your spiritual artistic talents to create the spirit wall mural. Participate in the lighting of the sacred path. Share your spirit and heart in Our Place.
LIGHTING THE SACRED PATH
For SWLC 2012, Master Z will lead the ceremony for the lighting of the Sacred Path. This ceremony marks the spiritual beginning of SWLC and is followed by a pilgrimage to each of the significant areas of the conference representing the spreading of the flame of love that burns within each of us and our unity as one spirit. One person from each room or area will carry the flame to their location and maintain a single candle throughout the conference to symbolize the never ending flame of unity. Please join us for this ceremony of peace.
OUR PLACE – AT ALL TIMES
Our Place is available for private contemplation and meditation throughout the day and evening during and between scheduled activities. The door is always open.
SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES
Leaders within the local community have graciously offered to lead spiritual activities at scheduled times within Our Place during SWLC. These are not workshops; they are spiritual experiences which individuals can choose to participate in for the enrichment of their spirit and to share their experiences and journeys.
