Evelyn Comber

Evelyn is an Illinois licensed therapist as well as an academically trained research scientist. She has been providing professional clinical counseling services for the bdsm/ds, TG, poly, and other lifestyle communities for the past ten years. Evelyn studies teams, on-line jealousy, and human sexuality. As part of her academic training toward a doctorate of psychology, Evelyn completed an in-depth BDSM study. She has presented the results of this research at the 52nd annual Congress of the Society for Scientific Study of Sexuality and to several Chicago area lifestyle venues – the LRA (formerly the Leather Rose) and the Rockford REALM. In addition, she has presented on a variety of psychological topics as they relate to bdsm/ds dynamics. Some of those workshops include ‘Communicating, BDSM style’; ‘Conditioning: It’s not just for your hair’; ‘About the Sane part of SS&C’; ‘Dynamics of D/s’; and ‘Trusting Relationships’. Evelyn continues to work on several research projects, as well as her dissertation.
